Problem with firefox

I was using firefox up until a few hours and it was working ok, ive just tried to get onto the internet thru firefox and i get the "prblem loading page" screen, ive done an avg and an adware test,I also restarted the pc ive unplugged the modem from the mains for 30 secs(this normally does the trick) which didnt work, i got on here thru IE which is working but not FF. Ive checked the firefox is my homepage which it is,
I just dont now what else to do, would uninstalling firefox then reinstalling him again be a good move

sounds like you have covered all the bases, an uninstall and re-install would probably be your best bet.Ever stop to think and forget to start again?0

You need to focus on establishing if Firefox is the problem or whether it's your internet connection. Have you tried Internet Explorer? Does that work? Also, try going to START--->Accessories---->Comand Prompt and type 'ping www.google.co.uk' and press Enter. If you get three responses then Firefox is your problem. If you get no response then you have a problem with your internet connection. Come back to this thread for more advice.

yes IE works its how im on here,
i did the ping test and these are the results
