Thanks Oscar, I will speak to Apple. Spot on with PC World, it would be in my very own Room 101.

My OH got his first iPhone 4 on the release date, he had to return this one after 4 weeks of problems with the signal (before apple had admitted there was a problem) he has today had to take his second one back after continual problems with his home button not working properly.
Both times he made a Genius bar appt spoke to a member of staff and after a couple of checks they where both changed without any problems.

On a similar note I had to take back my iPhone 3G after nearly 8 months, I had had problems with wifi, phone signal and 3g almost from the start and after putting up with it for months I took it back in May they asked me to try a new sim card first which i did and afterr another 8 weeks with the same problem they have also changed that for brand new one

So I would take it back to Apple and see what they say

Thanks for this, interesting to hear of your problems too. It's so frustrating - I loved my iPhone 3G and really want to love my iPhone 4 but it's doing everything it can to make me hate it at the moment!!

    Make an appointment with Apple!!!

As above-Apple are always keen to put warranty claims right.

This made me laugh, Tell that to the 3G owners who bought this year and now have fancy paper weights, and apples response "Nothing we can do" Horrible company:mad:

There have been several posts on here by people who have phoned Apple and gone through all the "fixes" with them before being sent either a 3GS or iPhone 4 because their 3G won't work.

In addition, there are several posts on here about how to roll back to iPhone OS 3.x but you can google it to find a solution too.

I do hope you try either getting back on to Apple or giving the roll back a try. Perhaps it will solve your issues.

mate as o2 told you tough luck, returns is usually 14 days but they allowed for 30 days .....You are well out of this

Either way Im assuming you took is as an upgrade with o2 which had no returns policy....as long as you brought out your old contract

Just order a bumper and use it with that, they are free ....have a read on the iphone 4 free case program. This should sort things out.
