Claiming PPI after bankruptcy

Can anybody tell me please if it's possible to reclaim PPI after a bankruptcy?
I have had a company contact me saying that the will operate on a "no win no fee" basis and charge 39%
Is there anybody who has been successful in doing this?
Thank you!

If you've been missold, you've been missold so can claim but DON'T use a claims company. Use the info on this site to do it yourself.T-Mobile Default - Default removed thanks to CISAS intervention!

Hi there
I am sure you can still make a reclaim, but maybe others on here will definately know for sure and will clarify on this for you.
But as mutron says, do not use a claims company, they always try to make it sound so good, and lots have had hassle with using them, and if you have a go yourself (if mis sold your ppi), then this is all free with help from this site.
Follow the guidelines below, and use the FOS questionnaire to make a reclaim to whoever sold and set up your policy, keep a copy as this is recommended in case you need to refer to it at some point, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, they may ask for more time, this is fine, just as long as you know where you are, but its pretty straight forward.

Hi can anyone help?!
My Husband and I went Bankrupt and got discharged in 2009. Can we claim PPI on the credit cards and loan we went bankrupt on. Also I don't have any of the paper work from the bank as when we went bankrupt I stupidly shredded it all. Hope someone can set me straight thanks

Hi there
I may be wrong and maybe someone will correct me if i'm wrong, i think you can still make a reclaim if you were mis sold the ppi, but even though bankrupt, it maybe used towards that, but again as said I could be wrong, if this is the case if there is anything remaining plus interest would be refunded directly to you.
Have you also tried asking this question on the bankrupty thread, in case others have been in this situation and making a reclaim?

Carola9004, in regards of your paperwork, you can try requesting a subject Access request (SAR) for this request you enclose £10 cheque or postal order and they have 40 calendar days to comply.
There is a template letter on link below, you can tweak to your requirements if you want to.
To track down account numbers, on loans, if you do online banking and still with the same bank now, this should allow you to go back about 7 years on the statements, the account number of that loan is normally shown next to the monthly repayments made.
If your unable to track these down give them as many details as possible, addresses lived in whilst under the account, full names date of births and so on.
Hope this helps.
