Overdue ladies?

Hi girls, just wondering who else has sailed straight past their due date? Ill be 3 days overdue tomorrow, had a lovely sweep today and was told Im already 3cms, and 100% effaced, but having looked into it apparently that doesn't mean much, could still be induced at term+12.
Have been walking each day, hoping and praying to kick something off, but nope.
DS1 was born 1 day early so was totally prepared for this one to be early as well, have nearly given up hope!
If I am induced it'll be next Saturday. Then the Monday OH will finish his paternity leave and go back to work, and DS1 will start school for his first ever day Tuesday. Great timing baby!!

That's a major bummer!
Can't your OH change his paternity leave?
Keep walking, have curry and sex - not necessarily in that order! :rotfl:
Sending you labour vibes!0 -
I was 16 days overdue with DD1 which I was fairly OK with as I had an easy pregnancy, but I was 10 days over with DD2 and it felt like soooooo much longer. I was in pain, grumpy, not sleeping and I had been convinced I wouldn't go so far overdue a second time (don't know why I thought that! Pah!)
Hope bubs put's in an appearance soon for you! It is no fun at all. I coped by booking loads of things to do for the next week or so, I thought it would jinx baby into being born, but in the very least it would make the time go quicker.0 -
Oh is on his paternity leave now, and its also his notice period. He starts his new job on that Monday, no way of changing a thing.
Eating curry pretty often, and trying the sex thing but ends in giggles really!
I like the jinxing ideas. I think I jinxed myself by being all 'Ill be early' confident, I've even gone and sold all my maternity clothes on ebay already! Im gonna go and book in something I defintely wont be able to do next week now I reckon, that might help!LBM January 2017 £34k will have paid back finally by my DFD May 2021got my first store card on my 18th birthday, never known a life without the grey cloud of debt looming over me. 18yrs and the end is finally in sight 🤩0 -
I was 9 days over due with daughter. I went into labour 2 days after the sweep at my friends wedding0

Oh my I hope you pop soon, Inductions can take some time to get started from what I can gather.0

I went at term +5 after they induced me. I ate pineapple till my mouth blistered (which was hellish when it came to eating curry afterwards), drank gallons of orange juice, waddled for miles at a stretch and booked several things I really didn't want to miss - and got to do them all. I'd have had sex till my husband was passed out unconscious if he hadn't been so terrified of poking the baby in the eye. When I got to the hospital to start the induction, I was 1cm and they practically had to go spelunking to find my cervix.
Bottom line is, baby comes when he or she is ready. It sounds like your body's happily waiting for the signals from your baby so get as much sleep as you can and try to find a comfortable position to sit in.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Both of mine were early. However, I was extremely fed up with second pregnancy and actually went so far as to book an induction. The morning I was due to go to hospital (well, midnight really), my waters went. I guess baby didn't appreciate the eviction notice! lol
Staying on your feet (walking around, etc) and raspberry leaf tea are the only things I can recommend. Nothing else had any noticeable effect for me. Good luck and hope your baby arrives soon!0 -

Had to laugh, I did not know they did sweeps at weddings :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I went 2 weeks over on both mine. DD2 I had several sweeps & was about 4cm dilated for at least 5 days before DD arrived. Midwife told me she could break my waters with her fingers as baby was so low (nice!) when my waters did go they told OH not to go home as it would happen fast when it started, that was at 8pm & at 4 the next afternoon they finally set me off as they needed to hook me up to antibiotics as waters had been broken for too long.
For all that waffling, baby will arrive when baby is ready. Good luck0 -
I'm 4 days over today with absolutely no sign of dropping. How big was everyones baby when they finally popped? I'm worried she's going to be a huge monster to push out.
I was 4 days early with DD1 so i was hoping and expecting the same this time too but noooooo, she has other ideas. What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
Fingers crossed you start soon xx
I'm only 32 weeks at the moment, but my others were 2 days late, 6 days late, 8 days late, so not expecting this one any time soon lol.Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0
