hehe obviously this time of year love is in the air, its mine and hubby's anniversary at the end of the month - 5 whole years its scary!!
come on then lets have a poll who is our longest lasting couple on ttc??? and how did you meet?? ( cant you see i'm trying to stop thinking about the symptoms in my head!)
We have been together 5 years and met at uni through friends and kissed after one very drunken night. I had just split up with someone and said noooo I didn't want a relationship and he wore me down!!! Been married 18 months now
OH and I celebrated 3 years together on 28th February. Our actual anniversary is 29th February though as got together on a leap year!
I first met him the year before, briefly, when he was visiting a friend of mine. I thought he was nice, but he was living in Belgium, so I didn't think much of it, plus I had to dash off for another friend's Birthday celebrations. I now know that he quite liked me from that moment, but thought I was interested as I left so quickly! lol
Then, in early Feb 08, he came over for a weekend visit, staying with my friend and we all went out together on the Friday night. I fell for him that night, but was too scared to kiss him as we were all going to Hampton Court Palace the next day with my sister's little girls (a last minute babysitting emergency/arrangement). That day, he had both of my neice's laughing and chatting away to him like they'd known him for years, which is a miracle as the youngest is very, very shy and doesn't usually talk to people she doesn't know. I knew then I'd better not let him get away! :rotfl:
So, we continued to chat on MSN after that and he invited me over to his place in BE the next weekend. I wasn't sure if he was serious or not at first, but he was, and so I decided to be brave and go for it. We've been together ever since. Did the long distance thing for the first 11 months and then I moved to NL (he had moved there in August 08) with him at the end of Jan 09.
You see, I just couldn't find any guys that I liked in England, I had to widen the net a bit! hahaha :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
OK, I'm caught up now.
Morning ladies! I hope you all enjoyed your weekends? I had a fab time visiting the family in the UK, especially as my brother, his wife and their 3 kids came to visit me at my folks house and stayed for a good 6 or 7 hours. It was lovely and the kids are sooo funny sometimes! The eldest tried to select the disney channel by entering the numbers on the remote, but got a digit wrong and ended up on Babestation! hahahahaha Cue lots of questions about 'why is she lying on the bed like that, why is she talking on the phone when she's on the telly' etc etc. I'm just glad she still had her top on! Crikey!
Ate tonnes of bad food, as you do, and quite tired now, but it was totally worth it.
I was also speaking to my sister on Friday, who decided that I should do a HPT over the weekend 'just to be sure'. So, even though the only chance of me being preggers would be from CD2 (as I said, very, very light AF. And I didn't think it would be poss to get pregnant at that point as I only finished the last pill packet 5 days before, and the usual break between pill packets is 7 days and was nowhere near ovulation etc, so we were just being a bit carefree about it), I did do one on Sat morn and it was BFN. As expected. Not sure why I did that, it was a waste of money.
Anyway, CD25 here and nips are a little tender, but much better than last week. However, now have sore b o o bs and been quite irritable. Well, up and down really. Very happy one minute, crying over nowt the next. I hope it's not like this every month!

I know, there are some lovely and romantic stories. Makes me fell all happy
Babestation....well, there probably is, but I don't think my parents even realised that those channels came as part of the package they have. I'll have to tell my Mum to ask Sky how to block them, or have them only available with the pin or something.
Oh, no need for a sorry. I was hopeful for a BFP, but knew it would more than likely be a BFN. It would be quite miraculous if I was pregnant, unless it happened last month whilst on the pill, which would also be miraculous. Although I did forget to take it one day last month. Or, it would have to have happened on CD2, which again, I doubt very much.
But, I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Expect to see AF on Thursday, so not long to wait.
Edit: OMG! I forgot to add.....CONGRATS on the BFP's ladies!! So nice to see.Pebbles - You must be dead chuffed, and finding out so late after expected AF must give some hope to those ladies experiencing long cycles at the moment.

Morning Ladies
Been lurking for a while. CD10 (33/36/40). Due to a mis-mash of cycles I'm not sure when I'll ov this month, OH's away for 8 days from next Sunday so hoping I wont ov until he gets back or even this week, but our shifts are opposite this week so probably not!! Anyhooo, I'm going to monitor anyway so I'll know when af will come.
Me and my OH met in Asda Bakery nearly 12 years ago. He was a baker (still is) and I was a Baker's assistant. 6 months later he phoned me to go bowling (I was 17 and he just turned 19) and then asked me out 2 weeks later. We've been together 11 years and got married 10.10.10 on our 10th year together in Vegas.
We're knocking through our reception rooms to make it open plan and I can have a dining room to feel grown up (also I hate eating on a tray on my lap) in the next couple of months. So we're sorting out the attic and my OH's office (which is just a dumping ground) and selling everything and anything (even my wedding dress). So project car boot and eBay is keeping me busy at the moment. Not looking forward to the mess though. We did a lot of work on the house when we moved in 6 years ago but we still lived with our parents and moved in when it was done!!
Sorry - rambling on about rubbish, lol!!! Big conratulations on the BFP's. Glad to see the PMA is back!!!

i was very surprised to get bfp already. i wasn't expecting it yet! hope it sticks this time.
it feels a bit weird to be pg again. i am not going to the doctors or anything yet i want to drag everything out as much as i can. i don't want to feel like i am just waiting for everything to go wrong again.
i am going to get the doctors to do a pg test on friday and will ring the midwife next week. not sure if i need to ring epu - i am sure they said to ring them next time i get bfp but i am doubting myself now as that doesn't sound right? did they say anything like that to you?0 -

I bet you were surprised! It's obviously meant to be.I must admit though all I want is a BFP, i think getting one will the scare the living hell out of me! How do you feel? Same as last time? any symptoms?
When I was back at the Docs the other week he said I wouldnt get any additional checks, scans etc? I dont recall EPU offering anything additional either. Ive been thinking and I think that I would go for private scan, they can do an early one at 8 weeks I think?
I think its lovely news and gives me hope. xxx0
