Feel free to rant Smash, I'm permanently giving up the evil things so I know how hard it is especially after a few drinks. I'm down to three a week now (how ridiculous!!!) and I know as soon as I get that positive test that I'll stop altogether. Your DH should be proud of how well you have done so far - I take it he's not a smoker? xx

*hugs* don't stress about it hon. you've done great giving up, be proud! and its very hard when you're having a drink. i have to confess i gave up smoking in 2005 right before they brought the smoking ban in to scotland. BUT when i go out drinking i still love a cig or 2. you've only just quit so your its not surprising if those urges are still strong. and the smoking course sounds good, have you tried the patches too, they're good as long as you don't wear them overnight when sleeping! your hubby is maybe just worried you'll go back and getting stressed cause he cares. hopefully he'll feel better after his footy x

congrats to mancbird on your BFP! X

and fingers crossed for pinkpig :)

    ((hugs)) smash :(
Do you have to have a drink if you go out? Could you stick to the low/non alcoholic stuff to show hubby that you're serious about giving up smoking? It may make him feel a bit better about it?

    ((hugs)) for AF phunkles :(

Oh and I have had complete baby names picked out for 2 girls and 2 boys for 6months now :S (although I changed my mind on one of the boys names just after Christmas) Complete as in first and 2 middle names then a double barrelled surname phew poor future bubs lol

Actually Im not sure if i do like the names anymore :S I probably like one of the girls names and the middle names of one of the boys :s

Weve got a mix of family names (for middle names) and then basically the names we both said we liked pretty much matched up :S

Re the giving up smoking. I gave up in Jan 2007 and have had a total of 4 cigerettes in those 4 years, mainly when I was really drunk, I'd start one and realise it was minging then chuck it! the best thing is to not beat yourself up about it and move on from that, you are only human and these things happen.
I think though with giving up smoking you HAVE to be in the right place mentally, if you aren't it's no use and it can only come from you and with no pressure from anyone else. I want my hubby to finally stop and he knows that too but I know he will only do it when he is ready to try again.
The year I gave up I gave up drinking pints of lager cos I associated pints with fags, this really helped me actually and even now I don't drink pints anymore. Maybe doing as pinkpig suggsted and sticking to low alcohol drinks or maybe convert to a different drink will help.
Smash and Katenut you WILL get there.

Well I've done a FMU test and the line is definitely clearer than yesterday. I've tried to take a pic but I think it's fighting with the lights in my kitchen at the moment so I'll try another later. I'm in 2 minds whether to use the other Sainsburys test. If I had a normal cycle and ov'd on CD14 then today would be 3 days early. I might wait till tomorrow.
