Welshpolarbear Regarding ics I never know when its a positive even when you get 2 lines as I can never work out iof its dark enough to be a positive. This month(not very mse) I bought the digital ones where you get a smilie face.So I still do the cheapies but when I get 2 lines I do a digital as well so I am sure.So for me I got a smilie on CD16 and 2 lines on the opk cheapie, but I would not have said it was a strong 2nd line!!

Thank Jules, Im going to get some digital ones for next month (though hoping I won't need to ;)) just researching the cheapest place to buy them, that's the MSE part!!

Another whell has been thrown into things this morning as i got a "normal" temp reading 36.1, as it has been all week except yesterday!! Now I'm completely confused! lol

Tinksi - Fingers crossed for a BFP for you :)

Hi, i am not ttc but i was about 4 years ago, my ex partner and i finally fell after 1 year of trying, everything was going fantastic till i went for my 12 weeks scan, when she went over my tummy there was not mcuh to see so she chose to give me an internal scan, to our utter devastion i had a missed miscarrige and my body did not know, my hormone levels were that of 13 weeks ect... we were so devasted.. i had to have an evacution 4 days later.. after that we tried every month, it became all about a baby.. i would go mental on web sites trying to work out dates of ovulation.. if we did not do the deed i would cry, the stress made him not able to perform so to speak and i would go mental and take it personally, i spent a fortune on tests every month and everytime it was -... it became that bad that with all the stress we started arguing all the time, to the point where we split up..I ended up on the verge of a break down with it all and had to spend some time in hospital.. now that i look back i feel so sad that this ruled my life for 3-4 years.

I think that my main point is please relax, it will happen, i know how hard it is and how upsetting it can be when you dont get that lovely line after peeing on the stick.. relax and enjoy sex, my ex partner and i are now good friends and it was a very crazy time in my life, he was also effected by the miscarragie but not once did i think to ask him, i was more concerend with get pregnant.

I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you all get you bfp soon x x x

    Hi Sadie,

Thank you for your thought provoking words. I'm so sorry to hear you went through all that pain and heartache and thank you for sharing with us, hopefully we can take something from your story and learn to relax.

It definitely makes you stop and think about things. It's only my first month of charting etc (though have been trying for about 6 months) and already im finding it's ruling my thoughts. I think taking a step back is most likely a very good idea, I think I will take some food for thought from your advice and try not to get worked up about things. (I understand stress is bad for TTC anyway).

Thanks for the good luck wishes and sending you a big hug for your advice xx

Hi everyone, it's easier said than done to relax but it was the month that I did that when I got my BFP. There be something in it?

    Anyway, tons of SBDTA x

Hope everyone is well. Good luck to the ones near testing, feel quite tense and excited for you all.

The witch got me today. I'm not surprised but still a bit gutted, I stressed DH out this month so am learning to relax. Going to be more pro-active this month. Ordered Pre-seed to use as been quite dry since coming off the pill. Thought it might spice things up a bit too.

I do hope TTC goes to plan this month as DH is away for his friends stag week and will miss OV next month. But if it doesn't it doesn't, lol!!

if i can stop just one person going through what i went through then i will be happy, I became obsessed about babies and getting the bfp.. it ruined everything good about it all.. I have a son who is now 12 and i am still only 32 so there is plenty time for me, both my partner and i were checked out and we were both normal.. i.e.. ovualtion was perfect for me and his sprem count was good.. it was the stress of wanting it so badly i think that stopped it happening.. i literlally drove myself crazy.. i went onto every ovulation charting website to check which each one was saying, when it was that time to bd i used to demand sex, cry if he could not perform and break my heart when the test was negtive.. Instead of giving my body and mind time to get over the the miscarriage i went right back to it trying to replace what i had lost..

For now babies are off my mind and my sister is expecting so i have a new born to coo over in the summer lol... but i know when the time is right it will happen again for me and if does not then i am always very very thank ful for my stunning son..

enjoy the fun of making a new life, throw the charts away and tune into your bodies want to make love, you will know and with any luck it will happen.. it is such a hard thing to deal with and i truely hope you all get what you wish for x x x

    Thanks Sadie.

I try not to talk to DH about ttc, and post here instead.
I only tell him when I get Peak on CBFM (digital fertility monitor).

I too had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks, baby stopped growing at 10 weeks. We were both devastated, but we went on a holiday to take our minds off things, and re-started ttc 3 months later.

After 6 months of trying, we went to a fertility specialist.
I think you are right in saying that trying too much is keeping us from getting pg. I don't know how to stop thinking about it though:(

I know what you mean:o That's why I use CBFM as well.
