hi girlies, hugs to those who are feeling down. I'm new to all this so have no idea of what some of you have gone through, with recurring BFNs and MCs :( Just wanted to say sorry and that I hope we have lots of graduates the next few months! :)

still haven't had a period, frustrating as I feel in limbo at the mo! would rather it just came and then at least I could start a diary and work out ov dates etc. In the meantime, something weird has happened to me today - I have had sore, erect nipples all day...! (quite embarrassing at work as I was wearing quite clingy jumper - ended up wearing my outdoor fleece over the top most of the day!) My stomach is all twingy/restless too. DH thinks I'm preg, but I keep telling him that it's similar symptoms to PMT. Plus it would be VERY early to have any kind of symptoms. Mind you, I don't remember ever having p0rn star nipples before AF before....! ;)

He wants me to test but it's too early at the mo. Actually, I have a question, when is the earliest I could test? I have no idea when my period is due, but I think I ovulated middle of last week.

I promised myself I'd just let nature take it's course and be totally be chilled out about the whole thing, but I'm so impatient, hate waiting!

Yup im afraid last nights was a bit wild!!!

The midwives were lovely!!! DH asked why is she screaming, i said because she's having a contraction, do you know what that is???

He proudly stated course I do its when the baby moves around!!!! Haha!!!

I picked myself up from the floor and thot oh gawd what have I let myself in for!!! Told him it was actually the uteras expanding in order to let the baby out and he said argh that sounds disgusting!!! :wall:

  • I found this for him:-

    What Are Contractions?

    What Are Contractions?

The actual definition of “Contraction” is:

The tightening and shortening of the uterine muscles during labor causing effacement and dilation of the cervix and contributing to the descent of the baby.

    But, what does this mean?

Basically, contractions feel like cramping, or a tightening sensation that waves across your abdomen. Sometimes, they start in your back and move around to the front, near your belly button. When you are having contractions, your abdomen will tighten up, much like when you have a cramp in your leg and it tightens up. Contractions cause the upper part of the uterus to tighten and thicken, and the cervix and lower part of the uterus to relax and stretch – thus pushing the baby out of the uterus.

Contractions start when something triggers the pituitary gland (a pea sized organ at the base of the brain) to release a hormone called oxytocin. Oxytocin stimulates uterine contractions. Because we aren’t sure what triggers the pituitary gland to release the oxytocin, no one is sure when labor – or contractions will actually begin.

Contractions may be irregular at first, but gradually will become regular. As time progresses they will get longer and stronger and will get closer together. If you walk during contractions they will usually get stronger and lying down will not make them go away.

    He's quite pleased!!!! :)

  • Debs that woman was rediculous! She was screaming like that only when contracting, i don't know how she'd ever have managed without an epidural actually trying to push it out!!

Yes its agony but its not scream your head off like that agony, The only bit i screamed about was the head crowning, Ouch. I somehow managed on only gas and air too. I gave birth in the princess anne (where one born every min is filmed) exactly 2 years and 8 mins ago today :)

Gotta laugh at your hubbies response, He's got alot to look forward to when its you in that bed!:)

    Interesting, gender selection:cool:

 not sure about the methods! still checked out every option tho, just for fun :D xx
i did click a few times on the calender to see what the difference was between concieving a boy and a girl but to be honest does it really matter, when people ask me if im going to have another (which i deny at the mo) they always tend to say ooh wouldnt it be lovely to have a girl but honestly im not bothered at all, sometimes i think it would be easier for another boy as thats what im used to but it really wouldnt bother me anyway. how about you girls

either would be lovely mirror. sometimes think a girl cause my best friend has a beautiful little girl, then think a wee boy would be lovely. its a cliche but as long as its a healthy baba thats all you can hope for right?

it depends on the length of your cycle, but a couple weeks after OV should be good x

Debs & GG.... i have a lifelong fear of labour!!!! avoided that programme!! the one with the american women.... now thats my kind of labour! :T

happy birthday to baby Greener! x

Ok I think I am officially thinking of TTC too much.

Baby dreams two nights running :) Last night I was in labour (ouch) and I got a little concerned about making sure I was all tidy and neat (if you get me) and was asking OH for trimmers while going OOwwwww. Not good.

The night before was far nicer, a boucing bubba boy, very sweet and very lovely, who just wanted cuddles and cooed a lot. :) One day eh.....

PS BB1984. I had !!!!!! start nips from about 5!!! Good luck :)
