It's great to see so many BFP well done ladies.

Well, I have now stopped bleeding after mc and am waiting for af to arrive. Anyone know how long I can expect to wait. We are keen to start ttc again. Epu advise to wait one cycle does anyone know if this is for medical reasons? Thanks for any help ladies. Kx

    Hi Kelly

I had to wait 21 days or so for my AF to turn up. And the advice to wait one cycle is to help with dating your pregnancy if you fall straight away. No medical reason I know of.... Hope you're feeling ok.

QQ - you are fab at doing the BFP announcements.... it's like no-one is officially pregnant until you come along!! I'm going to do a fab BFP announcement for you in January - promise. :)

    xDx

They told me to wait one cycle so that it is easier to date. They also told me there's no medical reason why you can't get pg straight away, and have perfect pregnancy:o
  • Hi all
I've not been on here for a while because of my miscarriage in September we decided to not start TTC til next year as we where so hurt with losing our little one, However we have been using condoms but sometimes we forget.... sorry to be so crude but he never goes inside me but my period is now 5 days late on a normal 28 day cycle my periods went back to normal straight after my mc, I have done 2 tests one on saturday and one on monday still saying negative.
I have a few symptons but nothing like the last time slight nauseau and diahrea (sp?) I have severe nasaeu and bigtime runs when I was pregnant before, also was constantly tired from day of conception not had that this time what do you guys think? No other symptons
Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?
  • Im sorry for your loss
Please do not get your hopes up - My friend had a few MC's and each time her period was a week late she got so excited only for it to come a few days later.

Give it a little longer, it may be late due to stress or something else but i'll keep my fingers crossed.

If it hasnt come within another week, do another test, if its still neg then go see dr. xx
  • See I'm not sure if my head is where it needs to be to be pregnant again I feel I'm still not over the loss if my lo so we didnt plan on getting pregnant so soon. Think I am more terrified to be pregnant again as the last one totally took its toll on me. Will leave it another week and re test

I ovulated about eight days after I finished bleeding. I was told that there was no need to wait and that we could start TTC whenever we were both ready. Here they ignore your LMP date and go by the scan date anyway so it wouldn't make any difference for dating the pregnancy.

  • ah sorry i mis-read, thought you wanted to be pregnant this time. (Sorry, on about 5 other boards jumping between threads)

I dont think anyone really ever gets over a MC. My friend didnt, but she didnt learn how to move on from it which has caused her no end of pain. In the end she stupidly brought drugs off the net to help her concieve (telling us doc had gave her them) and we believe thats whats triggered the further MC's.

If you feel that your not over the loss, have you tried speaking to people about it? I seem to rememebr there being a MC thread on here that helped many people. I've never suffered a MC so couldnt possibly understand what you went through (or still going through)

But back to your original post, keep calm, dont stress, if you find you are pregnant you need to have a talk with your partner and sort things out but dont worry about what will happen.

If your not, you need to see whether your prepared to take the risk of accidently falling pregnant again. If you cant go through with it right now then you really must make sure you take precautions.

Give it a little bit more time and def re-test. Might just be a blip (mines on a blip atm but im on the pill and my tests showing neg too)

    HTH xx

I'm so sorry for your loss hun. Sometimes it takes a bit for our cycles to get back on track. In order to get your period, you have to ovulate. It could be that you haven't ovulated this month which could delay your period or you could have ovulated later than normal. Both are quite normal. After you ovulate, you go into the luteal phase which averages 14 days. The LP rarely changes. The best way to check for ovulation is by noting cervical mucus and temping.

If you got 2 negatives, you are most likely not pregnant....yet, but because you don't know exactly when you ovulated, you're in limbo. I know that sounds like a horrible place right now and I pray you get the outcome you want.

    Blessings to you
