Ovulation Predictor Kit - i think (i may have made up what it stands for :S )
Yeah it measures some hormone that has to be present to ovulate (I am very technical I know :o)
Have to piac every day from a certain day depending on cycle length and a second line should appear when you ovulate... the darker the line the nearer to ovulating you are...

The above information could be wrong but thats how I think it works...

But am excited at having a second line reappear this cycle as it means it could *fingers crossed* lead to a darker than control line test at some point next week when Im with my oh :j which would mean I actually have a realistic chance of getting pg

QQ – lots of maltesery goodness for you my love (I actually have a recipe for malteser cake somewhere!)

Doglover – A night on the sofa watching TV and eating takeaway is mine and ohs norm when we together (however he wont let me watch Xfactor as I get all big voiced and say the stuff in the style of the voice over man)

DebMc – Hope your weekend of work has gone well

Pinkpig – hows your opks going?

Feanor – how was your shopping day?

Mrsvic – sorry about the bfn but good luck at the doctors tomorrow

    Jcr – implantation bleeding?

OPK testing is meant to be done at the same time each day but to be fair I cant wee on command and I don’t have a wee routine at all :S Im a have to go now kind of person – which means pregnancy could be a fun experience :)

    Welcome Newrecruits :)

  • evening ladies :)

haven't had a chance to read through all the replies, so hugs to anyone who needs them :)

the hubby and are are staying with my parents this weekend as we had a wedding to go to in my home town, typically my body decided to get ready to ov this weekend  infact i think it may have happened this afternoon as this morning (tmi alert) my cervix was open and i had a small amount of ewcm, this afternoon closed and all gone! :(

we got some bd'ing in, strange in my parents house though :o felt really bad! :o:eek::rotfl:but i'm not hopeful as, apart from this morning i've had no ewcm, just really watery stuff, we used pre~seed, so maybe :o

to top all the wedding was carp as well. and i feel very ill when i'm ov'ing, almost to the point of puking  how is that conducive to making a baby?!?!

does anyone else feel sad when you know you've ov'd? i felt quite tearful, even though it's only my first month trying.

rant over, i'm off to hide in a corner and hope my parents didn't hear us! :o

    Jcr – implantation bleeding?

be nice but don't think so. just had another gloopy brown gunk( sorry tmi) really is like the end of a AF. so am thinking she might be visiting early. or perhaps it a clear out as normally i'd be on the pill so my body wouldn't be able to get rid mid cycle , if that makes sence. but all gone again now. Ah the joys of our monthly cycle, lol.

Feanor – how was your shopping day?

    [/QUOTE]

Very good thank you! We braved IKEA and ordered all new bedroom furniture, so very successful. OH even managed to go round and not moan once. I was shocked! lol

CD 24 for me, and like I said earlier. Feeling fine. Although had abit of a melt down earlier at OH, but we were having a little argument, so I'm not sure if it was because I was genuinely upset or if it was hormone related! Only a few days until AF is due so I think its probably a sign that she is on her broom, heading at speed towards my door! :)

Little Angel - I know just what you mean about being sad around OV. I got really teary this past month when I knew we had missed it (well, we just didn't really get the timing right thats all). I can't help but feel a bit like, oh there goes another egg wasted! We have only been trying properly for one month also.

I am feeling a bit sad about it being November. As I had a MC earlier in the year and the due date was Nov 16th. Just seems so strange thats all. I am feeling ok about it, just a weird feeling. Sorry for rambling on!

feanor i can feel your pain. sending you big hug's. our angel went to heaven on the 4th of nov 02. It is always a hard time of year. i try not to think about it too much, as the time is healing my heart slowly. but at some point in the day i can't help but break down for a cry. it is only natural i think. i'll never forget her. but it will get easier.

    Hope you're ok Feanor (((hugs)))

Phunkles - had a fainter control line today with an even fainter test line. Don't know if that means I'm approaching ov time or not, will see if they get fainter/darker tomorrow :)
