    Hi All,

Just a question for now, do the opks work if you have pcos? I have recently had a miscarriage so I know I can get pregnant but age not on my side.So want to do all I can to get pregnant again.

Hi, I didn't want to ignore you but I'm afraid I don't know the answer. A clever person will be along shortly.

I'm sorry for your loss x

Hi jules - I found this:
Q: I have PCOS. Can I still use OPKs?
A: It depends on whether one of your PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) symptoms is elevated LH. You can get some false positives or misleading results. A PCOS patient may have more success tracking ovulation via ultrasound. The only way to know if it is reliable for you is to try it.

I searched 'opk pcos' on google and it came up with quite a few positive forums of people with pcos

Hope this helps hun and good luck xxx

  • OMG!!! I just got a BFP!!! I had my implant out 5weeks ago but even though I have a card that says it lasts for 5yrs, when I went to have it taken out the Doctor told me it was actually 3!! and so it was 2 months overdue being removed. I had a light period on the 29/9/10 and was due on 3 days ago. I have just done a test and its definately a BFP!!! I did have BFN results before my last period.

I am in shock! we had discussed trying for another but didnt think it would be this quick! I already have 2 children from a previous relationship and one from current relationship and dp really wanted another. I think I must be super fertile as first baby I was on the pill, then I had a m/c and quickly got pregnant with number two. It took a month with number three and the same with this one.

    Very early days though.

My mum is goiing to kill me..lol.

    Just needed to share :)

Hi ladies, can I join? Been lurking on here for a while so I feel I know everyone already! I'm 33, husband is 31 and we've just decided to start actively trying for number 3! DS is 10, DD is 3 and we've always intended another but with one thing and another put it off a bit until now, I stopped taking the pill mid pack this week!
    Welcome spongebabs:wave:
Would you like to be on the list on the first page?
Would something like this be OK?

    Spongebabs (33) TTC#3 since 10/10 (DS10, DD3)

Evening ladies! Ok, went out sofa shopping with hubby tonight. Just got home, went to loo, and (TMI Alert) there is a dark brown discharge on my undies but when I wiped there was nothing. Now, call me crazy but, surely I should not be expecting AF again on CD8?!?!?!?!? My last cycle was a very short 12 days so, maybe as it was a short one I've got another short one coming up?!?

Just had a look back through my diary and my last 5 cycles have been the following: 17, 13, 22, 21, 12. Assuming I ov'ed when I think(based on CM), that was only two days ago. HELP!!!!! What is going on?!?
It could be ov spotting,or just random spotting.
12, 13 day cycles are amazingly short:huh: Would you consider temping?

I have PCOS and it works. Some people have elevated LH all the time, in which case you should get opks that are less sensitive.

    I use this:http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001G7STT0/ref=pd_luc_mri?ie=UTF8&m=A4DI4ZJ5WTRP7

But you may like to try a smaller pack.

  • Welcome to Spongebabs.

CD17 for me today and my ov window is over. It would be nothing short of a miracle if I was pg this month as we only managed to DTD on CD10. Got a positive on opk CD15 but OH was poorly :( So I'm out of the running this month.

Got very NMA today and feel like this is just not meant to happen, and maybe I should just accept it and move on with my life. I don't want to, but I don't know if I can take any more months of both OH and myself feeling like a big fat failure. We never even manage to DTD at the right time.

I know we've only been ttc for 6 cycles this time, but this is my 3rd round of ttc over the past 14 years, and it just doesn't seem to get any easier. I tried for 4 and half years with ex, before we split up. Then about 4 and half years ago OH and I decided to ttc, it didn't work so we left it to nature to take it's course. Despite using no contraception for the past 4 and half years it has never happened, and now we've been actively ttc again for the past 6 months and still nothing.

Sorry if I'm bringing anyone down :( Does anyone else feel like this?

Oh well, at least I don't have to suffer the 2ww, again :o
