  • I was wondering, does anyone get really heavy painful periods here? Mine have been totally excruciating this month and I was mortified today wen I was so heavy I soaked through my jeans lucky the old sofa got it! Lol!
Also TMI but I'm getting loads of blood clots too! Do you think I should be monitoring this?

    TIA

I get very heavy periods with clots and soaking through, and they're very painful too. I came off the pill in 1998 and they have been like this ever since. I get tranexamic acid on prescription to lighten the flow and they work well, my GP assures me that they don not affect fertility, and since you only take them once AF has started then they would not affect a sticky bean. Before I got the medication from the GP I had many an embarrassing situation in public due to AF, in fact it was getting to the point where I couldn't leave the house.

According to my GP the vessels that run to the uterus open each month to flush fresh blood through at the time of your period, and this helps to clear the old lining away. Depending on how far your blood vessels open you may get a little blood or lots of blood. Mine are of volcanic proportions :o
WW i'm sure your not going through early menapause! Don't be silly, you have plenty of child bearing days ahead!! My mum is 46 and a half and still has periods!

    Thanks GG :D

Mrs Vix - What on earth is going on??

Re periods - only had two since June but both have been super light and only last 2 days. I have never been "heavy" but always more than this and lasting 5 days before. I'm confused too

  • Morning all,

    Hope the witch stays away!

Mrs - really hope that you are bfp - are your cycles normally long or short (like, do you normally have a 28 day cycle so this is really lonnnnng or do you have quite long cycles anyway?)

Im on CD16 - i think i ov'd but not doing temps or poas or anything so am just going to use this month as a cycle count :) I used to be really regular every 29-32 days so it will be interesting to see how that changes!

Really want to be pg this month - but am thinking that outside influences (work and a temporary lodger moving into our 2nd room in a 2 bed house) we could be better if it doesnt happen til next month ....

    sticky dust!!!

    Puzzled x
