Morning all! Thanks for the lovely comments on the cakes! I love making them!!!Lisa26, I'd kindly volunteer my services as a cake tester if you need one
lol! funnily enough I don't have a shortage of volunteers saying that!!! Unfortunately they don't post very well so unless you live very close to me I'll be unable to take you up on your kind offer!!!Sa-ra-ra-ra wrote: »Lisa26 those cakes look fab. What sort of icing did you use on the cupcakes? I've been trying to do something similar, but I can never get the height, and my butter icing always looks really... buttery :S
Thanks! It's butter icing. I do one swirl then another on top. Apparently there are loads of videos on you tube that show you how to do it! When you say yours looks buttery how do you mean? the colour?
Well I'm not sleeping very well at the minute so i'm struggling with temp taking! I could do with some advice! I woke ap at 2.30 am and decided it was too early to temp! was only awake long enough to think that then fell back asleep. i then woke at 3am and thought I'd best do it incase I kept waking up! It was 36.90. I then laid awake for a bit before falling asleep and then waking up just before my alarm went off at 6am when I did it again! This time it was 36.74. WHich should I take? or should I do an average? I'm guessing it won't matter too much as they are both higher than yesterday and also both well above my cover line!0 -

Yup, I'm sneaking on at the office - I'm hoping that no-one notices, as I'm right next to the coffee machine and everyone drinks obscene amounts of it here. When you say yours looks buttery how do you mean? the colour?
Yeah, it's always a bit yellowy. Boo.0 -

RebekahR - I used to get UTI's all the time, and I found that the Boots cranberry supplement was amazing, it really worked. You have to take about 3 a day, but I just kept them on my desk and took them when I remembered.

So... as I'm 14DPO, I was compelled to POAS this morning, and this time I didn't drop it in the sample, and I sat and looked at it and thought, ok, BFN, and then I [strike]stared at it until I got spots in front of my eyes[/strike] looked at it some more, and I think there may have been a teensy tiny TLP. BUT it was really early in the morning and it was very very faint. So I don't know. And now I'm getting niggly stomach pains, but I don't know how much of that is that I've had an upset stomach for the last couple of days.
Stress stress stress!
Not that I should SS, but is having an upset tummy of any significance? I have ahd one for the last couple of days too0 -
Top right of your chart screen> sharing> setup> select the settings you want, click publish/save, and copy (and paste on here) the url in the box, which will look something like this: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/340920
Tis all normal. The pain you describe is called Mittelschmerz - a German word essentially meaning 'middle pain' because it happens roughly in the middle of your cycle. (It's also normal not to be aware of it too!) The frisky and moodiness is cos of the hormone fluctuations and natures' way of telling you to get at it and procreate
Dunno about font of all knowledge! Catch me on a bad day and I don't even know my own name! :rotfl: Are you relatively regular 2ba? I know what you mean, though. I'd prepared myself for fibroids, cysts, all sorts, and hadn't even thought about PCOS...which of course is what I now have. Ah well.
I dont really know what the definition of regular is BigZee, the last few months have been 38,40,45,37,28,34,33,35,34,31 - does that count as regular?
I was tested initially for PCOS - but a blood test, I think they do on CD3? Anyway - that came back OK, but I think you can still have it, even if its not picked up there?
Women with PCOS DO have babies, though right?Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Good morning TTC'ers!
I've FINALLY caught up - phew!
Had the CRAZIEST dreams last night. For the last 3 nights Ive had weird dreams about friends and family. What's really unusual is that I honestly remember dreams, maybe 3 times a year. I feel less stressed than normal, and Im not taking anything - wonder what thats about.
Oh and I went to bed with a sore eye and woke up with it feeling SEMI sore, and a bit crusty. So perhaps I have an eye infection. Im desperately trying not to touch it - or I asked DW to buy me a Gabrielle patch to put over it!!
I'm also trying to find full time work, DS starts school in September, and we could really use the ££s. Im currently working part time and part time self employed, but finding it difficult to find new clients.
Now, I'd like to know - where has the sunshine gone? Hmmm? Who stole it!Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -
Oooh Sa-ra-ra-ra that sounds very exciting! You are very restrained, if it were me I'd be rushing out for a digi now! :rotfl:Sorry i knew I hadn't asked that one well! :rotfl: I meant in terms of sleeping. When do you know they are ready for their own room?
To be honest I'm not sure, and it depends on the parents too. some people like thier kids in with them in what they call the 'family bed' so the kids stay in for years and years.Others, like me, would prefer the bed back at some point. For me, I knew I should have waited till she was nightweaned and sleeping through the night, but the HV said to do it when we moved and for some reason I listened to her (never listened to them about anything else so heaven knows why!) but I knew immediately it was a mistake.Mind you, I was under pressure from Oh to 'get her out' too so it was hard. Even he admits it was a mistake now as she went backwards and for months was waking loads.
So I think there is no actual answer to your question, it really all depends on the family, what they want, I guess. I think kids, left to their own devices, will stay in with you till their teens! Biologically we are made to sleep all together, and after all WE sleep with someone, so it's strange in some ways to expect kids especially very little ones, to be happy alone in a bed in a dark room.
skintchick, you ended up in the cot? :rotfl:
I've never heard of attachment parenting until now, but it sounds really good. Kind of like Koalas and kangaroos:cool:
It is a big cot! Like a bed extension really.

I was a bit dubious if it would work when I was told about it but it does!!!It should be done after 3 solid hrs of sleeping. So I'd take the last one (36.74):o
Righty oh! Thankyou!0 -

It is recommended to use BBT thermometer which has 2 decimal points (like 36.56c or 98.21F). We usually do it in our mouth, but it can be done under the arm (cooler) or ahem, you know, where the babies comes from?:pI dont really know what the definition of regular is BigZee, the last few months have been 38,40,45,37,28,34,33,35,34,31 - does that count as regular?I was tested initially for PCOS - but a blood test, I think they do on CD3? I don't know if my mum has it, but her cycles are irregular.
Also, one of my sister has it, as do Victoria Beckham and Mrs Jamie Oliver:)I feel less stressed than normal, and Im not taking anything - wonder what thats about.skintchick wrote: »And funny you should mention kangaroos http://www.kangaroomothercare.com/0
