Hi folks, wife and I are trying for a baby, she came off the pill 2 months back and so far, two months and no luck.

I'm sure this is probably very early days to worry about anything, but havind put off having kids until we were "ready" and more financially secure, I now regret it a bit because i'm so impatient.

Anyway what I wanted to know if a) tips for getting pregnant b ) how long should we try before we see a doctor to check for problems?

    Cheers

    Hello

They say you need to try for one year before seeing your GP.

A lot of people will chart their temperature, check cervical mucas (bet you're glad you asked now :rotfl:) and use ovulation prediction kits to try and keep track of their fertile period.

Do you know if you Wife has tried any of the above?

P.S. I know what you mean about wishing you hadn't waited. We're in the same boat.

You or your wife are more than welcome to come join the thread. The ladies on here can provide a wealth of information and they're also great at providing support which is often needed when you're trying for a baby.

Well as I mentioned it I better add myself too :rotfl:The most time I have is tomorrow.

Now Big question is ... How do we do it? Not everyone has ff or won't know if they have oved or not?

Well what I did last time, was just quote the list from QQ, and update the numbers, and looked out for people who wanted to test or had written that their CDs had changed. If anyone isn't sure when they've ovulated, you just put them on the awaiting ovulation status.

Thanks fannyanna and Rebekah. Anyone else want to join as substitute listers?

I am well but knackered! Got up at 9-went to a new church and then spent the rest of the day in the garden scieving. My hands are killing me. Other to that i'm super good! How bout you?

:T:rotfl:That's so funny! That's just the sort of thing my DH would say too!

I'm ok - Moon and I decided to try and do my Zumba DVD tonight, and it was hilarious watching him try to do the steps - I know I'm not that great at it either, but he seemed to have even less coordination than I do! I'm sure in a few weeks though he'll be better than me! Trouble is, I was trying to avoid his flailing arms, so I kept on bumping into the sofa. :rotfl:
He is busy cooking the dinner at the moment, and hopefully we'll get into the habit of doing the DVD a few times a week. I'm pleased that he's agreed to do it with me, as it's something else we can do together.

Rebekah why don't you sit with your hands in a nice bowl of warm water with some lovely bath oil or similar in it, and give them a nice soak before putting on some hand cream?
