I forgot to ask, silly question but I assume you can use any digital thermometer for charting bbt? Might pop to Tesco at lunch and get one. Would be really greatful if someone could explain to me what I need to do and where I can find the chart please :0)

Huge congrats to Redfrog, I have had a cold for a few days now, can that be a sign then? Dont want to get my hopes up!! xx

You are best with one that measures to two decimal places. There is a link to some on amazon on the front page.

Most of us chart at FF (Fertility friend) www.fertilityfriend.com
It's easy to set up and free to use (unless you want the VIP version which is free for the 1st month then you have to pay). It comes with a tutorial on how to chart and has a really good Q&A section. If you get stuck though give me a shout, I'll be happy to help.

You need a BBT thermometer which gives 2 decimal points (like 36.57c).

You need to temp first thing in the morning without moving, eating, talking, getting up, going to the loo etc. It should be done ideally at the same time every morning (but we can't always do that:o).

Most of us do it orally:)
As for charting, fertilityfriend.com is free.
This is my chart if you'd like to have a look:

Think I'm 1/2 DPO, I'm going to go with 1 DPO in the spirit of being patient ;). Not sure if we peaked too soon so to speak on the BDing, BD Sat, Sun and Mon pm (pos opk on Mon am). Worn out on Tue and gave it a go yesterday but we didn't "get to the end". Still all good practice I suppose, at least with the opk I've got a better idea when I ov and know we're giving it a good go!
    Good luck!:j

Still no AF, I know I'm impatient but this is the longest cycle I've ever had at 30 days (I know for many this is nothing but I've always been regular at 27-28 days) and I just want it to hurry up and arrive so I know its out the way before I go on holiday next week as I don't want anything to keep me out of the pool!

Had a read back, I'm now even more chuffed for you Redfrog, every baby announced here is a blessing, but to hear that someone who has been trying for a bit longer and about to go down the medical route is suddenly suprised with such amazing news really makes my day.
