    Me spinning in and out.

I see we have some some graduates! Congratulations and I wish you all the very best!

Hope you are all well, I'm expecting AF this weekend I think. And I AM expecting her... I'm going to test on Thur as I am away without Mr Praline and I need him by my side every time I test.

Anyway, not much to report - no time for the wicked... I cannot wait until September - Life should get easier!

    Hope you are all well.

    :T Congratulations!! :T

Still spotting, still BFN, so I'm now thinking that my body knows I'm supposed to have AF and should've ov'd when I had the EWCM, but actually didn't ov this time so not enough for AF iyswim? It's a complete theory, but that seems to be all I have right now... :(

PMA...? Maybe that means my cycle sort of restarts here and in a couple of weeks I really will ov??:cool:

I have a question for those like me who are trying to have their first child.

I was just wondering if anyone had like a childfree bucket list – the things you’d like to do whilst you can before a baby comes along.

Now I know having a child doesn’t mean your life is over and you can never do anything for yourself but I think it’s fair to say that having a child changes your life and that you need to make some sacrifices – both time and money wise.

For example in our situation we will not have a lot of spare money when we have a baby and as such will not be able to afford to do certain things. Now this is not a problem as we want a baby but I’ve been thinking about getting things done now whilst we can.

Just made me wonder if others have a list of things they want to do / or have already done.

I’ve had some ideas and they’re things like go on an all inclusive holiday, overcome my fear of spiders (there’s courses you can go on), complete my work studies and generally enjoy more nights out :)

I don't think I do. I think I've done a fair bit of the drinking, going out etc in my 20s so not bothered that I will have to give that up.
The only thing I would like to do is to re-train as despite having a Masters it is not one in a field I now want to work in! But obviously that costs time and money. It's something that I can always do down the line and having a baby is something that there is a finite period of time in which that can happen.

    Maybe I'm just boring .... :D

    ((hugs)) zippy.

Congratulations Lucy!!! Wow, what an exciting couple of days with BFPs :T

Hugs to those who need them!

Fannyanna, I think I'm in a pretty similar position to you and we did have a sort of 'bucket list' but it was mostly just getting married and a few holidays that we wanted to do before having kids (not due to any objection to children outside of marriage, more to do with wanting to be able to enjoy the wedding and honeymoon without the additional worry of childcare). We did have an idea kicking around for a while to do a roadtrip round the coast of America in an RV, but all the money we could use for that is currently being saved towards house deposit/baby stuff buying anyway. We've just come back from a trip to Amsterdam which we wanted to do before having kids, so that's a big tick, but neither of us really drink or go out that much, and we have a cat so already have some responsibilities that mean it's difficult to be spontaneous and go off and have fun. I'd really like to study for a second degree/MA/MBA, but with money so tight I think it's unlikely I'll be able to do that until much, much later!

There are some things we're 'saving up' to do once we're parents rather than doing them now! Like, I used to spend my holidays when I was young in Cornwall, but DH has never been, so once we have kids we want to go camping in Cornwall. Similarly, he's Portuguese and his family come from Madeira, so once we have kids we'll do a proper long visit to Madeira to see his family. I'm also really looking forward to playdates with other friends who have already had children... :)

Not really... I'm more like Scarly and am sort of waiting for the kids to "be able" to do the things I really want to do. We wanted to get married (and did 21months ago) and pay off our debts first (which we did 6months ago) and have a bit of time to just enjoy being together without massive money worries and be able to just go out for tea and things which some might take for granted (we were REALLY skint), and we've had that time and will continue to until I go into (hopefully) labour... I'm glad we sorted the finances, but of course now I'm wishing I'd at least come off the pill earlier (though we would've been "naughty" we were both that broody) so I'd've found out about the PCOS earlier...but, no point in regrets I guess

It's not that bad, just annoying more than anything.
