That sounds like such fun! I'd love to do that, I'd be like you running around like a maniac putting as much as I could into the trolleys. Reminds me a lot of Supermarket Sweep thinking about it!

Who on earth wins all these big prizes then? Do you think anyone wins them?

I've never known anyone to win anything from these sits and magazines offering huge prizes. Namely Take a Break, My Offers, !!!!!! etc....

Are they just a swizz?

I have won lots of things but mainly in competitions at work (I am in sales) I had a particularly good year in 1998, £5k holiday, weekend at the Grand Prix in Germany, weekend in New York ( Limo xfers and a helicopter trip etc). I also had a £1000 camera, TVs and other electrical stuff and loads of vouchers.

Outside of work I won a "top of the pops" album on the Radio 1 roadshow in 1974 and tickets to see Eric Clapton this year from Radio 2. I have also won a couple of CDs and DVDs on the local radio station in the last couple of years.

I did every puzzle in Take a Break for a year and never won a thing. I don't think they are a swizz but I think they get thousands and thousands of people entering them so the chances of you winning anything are slim.

I've been doing competitions for quite a few years and the prizes really are out there, I've won about 9 holidays by just sending in postcards or collecting tokens and last year won £5,000 in a slogan comp - the prizes really do exist!
