The biggest (money wise) prize I have received is 4 tickets to see Beauty and the Beast stage show plus a lovely pre-show dinner. If I'd bought it, it would have cost about £250:eek: The girls all loved it (so did I)0

I won a 2 minute trolley dash about 6 years ago, which was really good fun.
My sister won the ultimate trolley dash about 8 years ago. It was a 4 minute trolley dash for 4 people (won in Take a Break magazine). My sister chose herself, her 2 sons and me to do the dash. I can honestly say it was one of the most exciting things I've ever done in my entire life. We went to our local Asda the day before and worked out who was going to do which aisles. The magazine sent a photographer etc and all the Asda staff were really excited. All the christmas goodies were out (we did it in November). They allowed us to place empty trollies all round the store (no booze or cigs etc). We took loads of family and friends with us to cheer us on and the magazine representative said it was the best one he had ever done as everyone was shouting and cheering us on the entire time.I should say that we are quite a vocal, enthusiastic family and they could see how excited we all were about doing it. The magazine rep said some people barely speak, just wander round the store and don't have any enthusiasm - well I can tell you we had loads of that. We were running round like maniacs lol.
The staff were throwing goods in the trolleys for us as we ran round and the butcher gave my sister the biggest cuts of meat you have ever seen in your life. I couldn't begin to tell you how much we grabbed, but we apparantly got the biggest total ever! My sister shared out mountains of stuff with family and friends and our food bills were low for ages. Christmas was extra brilliant that year.
We were really excited about seeing the pics in the magazine a few weeks later, but the rep telephoned us to say the couriers had lost all the pics. We were all totally gutted about it. I still have great memories about it though. Sorry for waffling on. This has just brought it all back for me. I would put a smily but they don't work on my pc at work!0
