car hire with Decode

I booked car hire with Decode a few months ago ,paying in full, they have now emailed me saying the 'partner' they work with now wants me to pay just a deposit and pay the rest when I pick up the car, in Euros!! I have reservations about this as exchange rates can changed and the firm I pay to in south africa can ,I suspect ,give me what ever exchange rate /charges they like! has anyone had any experience of Decode and paying at the airport?I m deeply suspicious and have already contacted them, advising they are changing my contract with them and asking for a refund
would apreciate any feedback on my rights and if anyone has any experience good or bad!
many thanks

AVOID DECODE LIKE THE PLAGUE. My experience with them was entirely negative. I paid for a hire care, when I turned up to collect it, the carhire firm told me that Decode had not forwarded the money to them for the booking and I had to pay again. I was told that they often have problems of this sort with Decode. I have used this carhire company many times and they are entirely reputable.
I tried everything possible to get a refund from Decode and I was ignored, phone calls not returned, the staff appeared to be thick, the list is endless. Finally, I had to get my credit card company involved and I got my refund through them.
Don't waste your time and money on Decode. They may look cheap but believe me, you will probably end up paying more in the longrun.

Finaly (12 emails later) got them to agree to a refund, lets see if it arrives, happy to use the small claims court if needed as I doubt they will pay up, wish me luck!! in the meantime DONT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE they may be cheap but customer service is dire!0
