msmyth - you are buying your Clubcard points - where is the sense in that?

Edited afterthought - of course, it does make sense if you use those points in one of Tesco's Double-Up promotions - or for entries to Theme Parks etc. where they are worth 4-fold.

Spending a penny to get it back, bringing the cost down to the same as asda's while saving an additional 2 mile round trip! Makes sense to me!

Admittedly I guess im near one of the few tescos that actually seems to be competitive and if im away from home i do tend to fill up at asda, as you know it will be cheap if not the cheapest in the area.
