I would love to live by the sea, I just wish everyone else realised how rubbish it is so the prices would go down.
I know - fancy wanting to live by the sea, all that sand and salt - murder on your car

evening everyone
Right, I am posting but have not read todays thread. Dunno where this week has gone! Been mostly yuk and wet here, washing is hanging all over the place, but am managing to keep up with the ironing.
Congrats to all the exam results, DSD did well, I can't work out what she got
but like your daughter Ruby she took some in yr 10, she has ended up with 18 GCSEs over the 2 years, she got 3 Cs in that and was annoyed, bloomin' hard work I think! she is off to college but has to do one of her A levels at 6th form as the college doesn't do it. Very confusing.
The work thing - well he hasn't spoken to me all week, he is having domestic arguments with his former partner all week, very disruptive! and very abusive, I am just keeping my head down.
Shame, cos we had a lovely weekend, if anyone who watches Coronation Street and gets the chance to see Corrie! at the theatre, please go, I have not laughed like that for ages, nearly a tena lady moment:eek::o;)
Just done Tesco order for tomorrow night, looking forward to the weekend as I need to do some batch cooking and have an extra day :j
Best stop as I am rambling now, have a good evening and cyas soon xxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

I am thinking of joining a slimming club either SW or WW is anyone on here at any of these clubs, I have tried SW before but it has changed slightly and I didn't know whether to try something different, would love any thoughts on this matter. Just having a ittle break while DGS is having a nap
I joined WW and have lost stone and half, my OH has also been doing WW but the online one, hes lost 2 and a half stone, we like WW as if you do online or sign up to the esource if you are going to meetings there are loads of recipes on there, stuff you probably cook already but you can edit the recipe and therefore tweak your points, I think with both SW and WW you can eat what you want.....within reason! With me it has been the weekly weigh in that has helped, ( errrrrrr I got to me gold weight and we have been on weeks hol and big weekend out so am NOT looking forward to this week lol) Am now back to tracking, if you sign up for the e-source on WW you just put the food in and it works out your points.
Although I have reached my 'gold' as they call it at WW I did really want to lose a bit more! my gold weight is what I weighed just before I gave birth to my son! so am still hoping to lose a bit bit more, if you want a slimming buddy, pm me xwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Thanks Dazi, Well done on your weight loss, I think I am going to give it a go there is a meeting within walking distance so I think i will join so it will be next wednesday, is there a joining fee and how much is it each week? Did you choose your own ideal weight or do they give you a target, I think I need to lose between 3 - 4 stone so I will be in for the long haul.
Thanks again

I am a SW target member and yes it has changed as they are now promoting an Extra Easy plan which is simpler to follow and means you can eat greens and reds together.
There is also a losing weight thread the old style way on this site too if you look with people trying to do it without paying a slimming club and eating home cooked food.:)Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Thanks Taplady, could I ask you how much did you lose to get to your target weight, I have tried SW before and did quite well then fell off the waggon into bad habits, I just feel a little low with myself, time to give self big kick up bottom (large bottom at that) and try to start liking self, if I put OS slimming world in the serch engine will that take me to the right place.
Thanks

Evening All
Been too busy to post but have just about managed to read each day.
Congrats to all the GCSE folk. Even if they didn't do as well as they hoped, they have all (hopefully) done their best.
My thoughts are with you Kezlou and Lowesy.
Weather here has been glorious! We have had blue skies, a gentle breeze and 20 degrees. Needless to say the washing dried, just wish I had been off work to put another load or 4 in!
Went to Zumba class last night – it was ok but not as hard as I thought it would be. If I had some hips to wiggle it would have been easier. Still at least I went and did something and will probably go again next week. Had a Tesco delivery last night too, the big supermarkets have only just begun to deliver here so I am making the most of it. Will phone their comments line to say that the delivery chap was very chirpy and helpful – I always think we are quick to criticise but slower to congratulate.
Went for a coffee with some of the girls from work this afternoon and had a good catch up. It’s terrible that we all work together and never get a chance for a chat together.
Made sausage casserole in the SC today but I think I overcooked the snorkers, they weren’t very nice.
Take care all XX0 -

Anyone do any hiking and know where I can get a reasonably priced waterproof and preferably windproof coat?
Try Mountain Warehouse for outdoor stuff. I get a lot of my work stuff from there. Also Matalan usually has some wind/water proof jackets.
(((hugs))) to you. Have a fab hols too xxbooskyeboo wrote: »Hi

I do SW, by myself though as too skint for class. There are SW and WW threads on the Health & Beauty board with lots of info.
Well today turned out to be a good one despite the OAP charity cancelling on us yesterday. We managed to get 5 OAPs from a local OAP complex to come along. Work kids made them tea, played bingo, had a raffle and then we took them to the local garden centre for the afternoon and bought them all a small plant to take home
Work kids and OAPs thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We are doing it again tomorrow with different OAPs.
The weather here has been attrocious  It has rained non stop all day
. Visability was really poor (not great when driving a minibus!). Half the roads are flooded too
.
I've been to cinema to see A Team tonight. I'm even more in love with Bradley Cooper now :smileyhea Really enjoyed the film.
Not much OS here. Made big pot of watercress soup yesterday so have freezed the leftovers today.
I'm watching the Great British Waste Menu on BBC1 at moment, anyone else?

I'm watching the Great British Waste Menu too. It's scandalous. I think I should set up a warehouse for all this stuff so that we can share it on here!0
