    Morning all

congrats to those who got the results they wanted. Commiserations to those that didn't but at least you can say "i had a go"!!!!!!!

Sorry i haven't been on just been crying for the past two days, i'm welling up now!
Unfortunately it is him, his parents and brother have flown out to see him, we encouraged them to as they felt they shoud stay here in case other people needed them. But at this point THEY need the support more than any of us do. He was brother to me and my OH and an uncle to my boys, for the past 11 years, how long i knew him, longer for OH, he was an integral part of it. Through the births of the kids through to my eldest's first caving trip. This is first time i've written anything about him without crying. I haven't got the guts to write on facebook account, just posted a photo instead.
Luckily we got to say to good bye to him as we (me, OH, DS1+2) and two other friends and they snipper the day before he left.
We know for a fact it wasn't suicide, as he was too full of life and we all had plans, so its more likely to be accident.

Anyway trying to get back to normality, well normal for me anyway lol, taking DS2 for a hearing test today, finishing off the school shop, phoning the garage again for the car, then cracking on back home to get stuff sorted. The house is a dive and needs doing badly. OH has gone to work, can't afford to take a day off:(.

Right better wake snips and coddy up, brrrrrrrrrr its cold, oh so very cold! 7 degrees outside arggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh

Kezlou - hugs for you and your family. I lost my like-a-brother friend almost four years ago and one day you will be able to remember him and smile....but there will be lots more tears before that time comes x x

Bit grey here this morning and there's definitely that chill of autum coming in the air...I love it :D (means the fat man's getting sorted) I quite like Christmas in case you hadn't guessed......

Watched the BB final last night which was good but they've put some right muppets in the Ultimate BB.

Have a MS job which will provide lunch today and have stuff in for the home-eaters. I'm really groggy today - late tablet last night so I won't pull round for a while yet...probably about 10:30...on Friday....

    Laters xx

    Morning all,

Bit gloomy here too, been another terrible August, I spent yesterday afternoon in the garden, I stripped all the extra leaves off of my tomato plants, in the hope that the little bit of sun we do get ripens them up, it felt like I was getting the garden ready for winter:(

I have a towel load in the wm, which I will hang out, there is another to go in after. Pork chops for dinner tonight, I will have a load of veg, and I might put a jacket spud in for the others.

Today I am going to pop and see my friend who had the op last week, she is doing really well, but cannot take the dressing off for 2 weeks, and she is desperate to have a bath, she has some plums for me from her mums tree, so I might make some more chutney :T

Kezlou, how terribly sad for you all, xxxx

Kathy, what a shame about the cat, what if he comes home while you are back over here ?? is there someone who can keep an eye out for him ??

JC I have to agree with you about the people in the ultimate BB, scrapped the barrel there !! John McCririck makes me feel sick I find him appalling _pale_

Ok better get on, have good days all xx

    Morning All,

kezlou - have a hug. What an awful thing to happen xx

Not much to report from the Lowesy household, just getting ready for our holiday which we desperately need.

Feeling quite low today - our baby was due today and am feeling all emotional again. Just sad I will never get to meet it. And then of course coupled with the fact that my brother (my unemployed brother) and his (unemployed) GF have just announced that they're having another baby (gotta love their selfless timing to announce that little gem), I'm really not feeling great.

Anyway, I need to try and buy some sort of waterproofs today - we are going to the North East on holiday after all ;) Anyone do any hiking and know where I can get a reasonably priced waterproof and preferably windproof coat?

Not much OS going on today, hope everyone is ok, hugs to all in need/want xx

Morning all.........................((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one, especially Kezlou and Lowesy...........

Nice bright morning, my goodness its cold though, quite a heavy dew; the washer is on with a mixed load of coloureds, I usually wash dark coloureds serperate to light, but did not have enough of each to do that today. Need to put a loaf on as well.

Quilting this afternoon, first time for 3 weeks, they will think I have left the district......

When I come back we have to get the sitting room ready for tomorrows onslaught by the wood burner fitters, they are hoping to get here for 9am and will work on until they have finished....by which time we should have a fully commissioned wood burner, I will be so pleased to have it installed, we could have done with a small fire the last two nights.

Sorry had to nip off, urgent call...................

Washing is now out on the line, loaf of bread in the breadmaker, just drinking my last coffee. OH is in the front putting down lawn seed.

Our erstwhile landlord is apparently housebound with a bad back......no wonder I have not seen him about. Really the last thing he should do is sit, he needs to walk. OH has had back problems ever since he had a motorbike accident some 50 odd years ago. He finds that when its giving him problems the best thing is to go for a gentle walk, and it frees up.

The sun is very low in the sky, a sure sign that autumn is on its way.........it smells of autumn too although the leaves have not started to drop yet. Its my favourite time of year, I love to see the colours in the trees and that nip in the air, smell the wood smoke from the fires. Dark nights with the curtains drawn and cosy by the fire. Just wish it has wayted a bit longer to start, we have really had no summer as such, just a few warm days and thats it......

    Busty morning here

    No need to brag ;)

    Hello my OS lovelies.
I am back (in case you hadn't noticed ;)) Had a fantastic holiday and the weather was actually really kind to us. We had several roasting hot days and the other days it was cloudy it was still warm. Only yesterday and the day before was a bit of a let down. Clearly Norfolk is the place to live :D
Am glad to be back in my own bed and now have a MOUNTAIN of washing to get through.
I have to go shopping at some point today (back working tomorrow) and need to do some baking as no cakes or biccies in the house.
Need to go and have a peruse around the veggies and see how they are doing. Tomatoes STILL haven't ripened. Am not growing them again next year. Has been a total waste of time :(

Anyway not read the last weeks threads but I gather it's results time at the mo - hope all of the children got the results they wanted and hugs and commiserations to those that were disappointed.

Kezlou - hugs to you, very sorry on the loss of you dear friend xxx

lowesy - Hugs to you, it's hard when these dates come around. I started to miscarry on my DS's birthday so that time of year whilst is wonderful I am also starkly reminded of what I lost. Go and enjoy your holiday - for wet weather gear I tend to go to Millets or Go Outdoors. I suppose if you have the time you could have nose online/ebay.

Welcome and hello to all the new faces :D

OK had better get a move on, DD's bedroom was painted by my mum (bless her) whilst we were away and she now needs some suitable furniture in there so am supposed to be looking online as what's available..........

Hi all - just taking a coffee break.

Welcome to Gintot - you'll enjoy it here!

Kezlou - thinking about you and your family today.

Taplady - happy birthday to your sister!

Redruby - thanks for asking about the cat! Yes, my neighbours will keep an eye out for him, and I've asked them to leave some food and water outside the door once a day, just in case he comes back while we are away. They will take it away if it hasn't been eaten after a few hours. There is plenty of farmland here so I'm sure he'll find other ways of feeding himself as well! They'll also text if he turns up but, TBH, I'm not holding out too much hope now that it's almost four weeks since he took off. Just so you know, he looks exactly like the cat that nasty lady tossed into a wheelie bin in Coventry!

Anyway, the BM has finished so the dough is rising in the tins. I don't use it for the complete cycle, just to make the dough now that my hands don't work so well (tendonitis), and we like the bread better if it's baked in the oven. I have two lines of washing hanging out, the result of which will be a nice (not) pile of ironing to get through tomorrow!

Anyway, must get on with some chores!

    KathyXX

By the way - many congratulations to those with the GCSE results they wanted, and commiserations for those who didn't do quite as well.

Glitterkitty - I hope your surgery goes well.
mioliere I am a big pet fan, they are like people to me, I do so hope your cat comes back.

Started doing my tax return online yesterday, then realised I need my P60 and have a horrible feeling I don't know where it is. Any ideas what to do if I can't find it?

I have physio today, and am then doing a bridal make-up trial this evening, luckily the client only lives round the corner. Not much else planned really, but just wanted to say Hi! x
Hmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!
