I am afraid that we need the M****** from the sticker on the unit. The 1 and 6 only gives the serial on selected units.

Thanks Molerat, Just my luck! I will have another go tomorrow to try and get the unit out! Its not playing ball at all.

    Cheers.
  • Hello,

Can you please help by supplying the code for my car radio in a Vauxhall Astra.
    Codes on the radio are:
    Siemens VDO (GM)
    No: 24 469 302
    Type: CDR 500 (E)
    2F4
    WA020330 RCD102-01
    Bar Code 1: 9012 300 00064 02
    Bar Code 2: 003 0330 2007237

    The important one I think
    Engraved on the side: GM050032007237

Any help would be gratefully appreciated...

Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS / VDO codes (including yours ) are not available for free from anywhere on the Internet.
Main Dealer or a Decoding Service only
  • I was afraid of that... Thanks for the quick reply.

Sorry..not in my PHILIPS database and and I don`t think it will be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet.

Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option)

OK, thank you for trying! Its much appreciated.

This radio is made by Blaupunkt and VW BLAUPUNKT codes are very difficult ( impossible perhaps ? ) to calculate from the Serial Number ..
    Try code 0076
and if it does not work then I don`t think it will be available for free from anywhere on the Internet.(Let me know if it does work)
Otherwise Main VW Dealer or a Decoding Service only

Thank you for the response, I tried to enter the code but the SAFE word is shown and I couldnot find the way to give the code in. So is my radio locked forever or is there a way that I can enter the code again?

Thank you very much for your patience.

    Ciao
