    It seems that I have a vdo cdr 500 model with the following info on the backplate:
    VDO
    . . . . . . . .
    >PA6-GF15< GM 13 107 918

    Unfortunately , the VDO CDR500 code is not available for free from anywhere on the Internet.

    Main Dealer or a Decoding Service only.

    To reset from SAFE...leave your radio SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself
