Hi hope you can get me a code for my ford focus radio.
Its model on the radio shows 6000cd rds eon.
Comes up with Mgp djs 406050801 as serial.

    Thanks

That is not the serial number.

Sometimes pressing buttons 1 and 6 or 2 and 6 together will display it. If not the radio will have to be removed to find it on the label on the back. It will be a M or V followed by six numbers. Post that serial number and we can find the code for you.

  • Been looking for a code for a while for my corsa C 51 plate.. I’ve pulled the stereo but can’t see any obvious Serial numbers.

    Potentially - 24469306
    It’s a CDR2005 (E)

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry. Your code will only be available from a main dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a radio decoding specialist.
  • Hi guys, can you help me to unlock my Jeep Grand cherokee ZJ '96 radio
    info. from the radio:
    date code: 1876
    part no. P4704345-G
    S/N T QA AA 187 6 75506

    THANKS FOR YOUR HELP
  • Hi, I've been reading MSE for 10 years now but am posting for the first time! I had my Ford's battery disconnected by the local garage, and the CD/navigation unit is asking for a PIN which I no longer have. It's a LS RNS with part number 9V4T 19K931 AA, and the code 815 C7E3F0595 A 3308662, 7 612 330 595, e1 034917 on the interior side panel. I saw someone was able to help a few years ago with a similar code and unit, I hope someone is still able to do that today!

(Oh, and any tips on how to remove stuck stereo unit removals keys are also gratefully received!!)

    Hi,
    Your code is .. 3458

  • That's brilliant G.Ayrton, thank you very much! It worked perfectly.

For anyone else who is having problems removing those keys... I found lots of videos showing how to remove units including my Ford LS RNS one, but putting one back in place was much rarer. A Mondeo one by JustAudioTips on YouTube shows it. When inserted the keys push four tabs, one in each corner of the unit, to a different location. To get these keys out again, first pull the stereo out at least a couple of inches. Go to each corner and push the tab back in towards the middle of the unit. This releases the keys inside the unit, and they can then be pulled out again. It shouldn't take a lot of pressure or pulling to do this.

Also for people with the Ford LS RNS unit, the information I quoted above is not on the back of the unit, so you don't need to pull out the whole thing. The sticker was on the side of the unit nearest the steering wheel.
