Goodbye and Good Luck .. In PM0 -
Hi,
I'm sorry you feel this way but I have always been polite in my requests in this thread when asking for a code, and always said Thanks/ Thank You at the end of each post.
I'm not a trader, I simply collect old stereos for my collection of Austin/ Rover & MG cars and as you may appreciate, out of all the headunits I aquire, some already have codes (great!) and some don't, and of those that don't and once codes are obtained, they don't work properly anyway.
Thanks anyways0 -
My radio went to safe mode after a battery change. The radio is impossible to remove (rusted behind)!
Is there a way of getting the serial number without removing it?
It's a 52 plate corsa comfort (with original radio)0 -
Hello from Sydney...
Trying to help my friend who owns 1982 Ford Laser, original stereo cassette player, made in Japan under license from Staar S.A., Bruxelles, with the model number: ABG53-66870-AA, and stamped serial number: 513832 (and then possibly a 7th digit as a small sticker with the number '6'). So no M, C, L etc, too old. I have checked the forum, one other poster had a similar stereo, but thought the model number was the serial, but I am pretty sure this is it.
For 12 years you guys have been awesome helping out....maybe this is too big a challenge? Any help is really appreciated, the owner doesn't have two beans to rub together.
Cheers, BuMQ0 -

For serial number 513832 I have a three digit code 224 does this unit need a 3 or 4 digit code?0 -
Trackman, thanks for taking time to help me! The young car owner will be back in a couple of hours, so I will slide the cassette player back in and try the code you mentioned. This used to be the grandma's car, who passed away, and it was gifted to the granddaughter.
The mother seems to think it was a 4 digit code? But honestly, she isn't sure, so we'll go with the 224 and then I will drop you a line if that is unsuccessful. Appreciate your time to help all of us...
Cheers, BuMQ0 -
Trackman, so the 224 code didn't work, and I found that it is likely a 4-digit code. The number display goes from 1 to 6, on three buttons, 1,2,3 on the top of the 3 buttons, and 4,5,6 on the bottom. I tried a few times to enter numbers above 3, but I couldn't - it just showed 1, 2 or 3, so I assume this number must be 4 digits and contain only the numbers 1,2,3.
Not sure how much we want to fight to solve this one, but any help the you and the forum could give is much appreciated.

Sorry I can't help any further.
Looking at units online I think the serial number you have is correct with the 6 digits. I don't have any other code number generators for 6 digit serials other than the one for 3 digit codes.0 -
Hi all, my daughter has just been gifted a 1999/2000 Vauxhall corsa by a family friend but the battery was dead and now I've replaced that the stereo code needs resetting! Unfortunately the code is lost, can anybody point me in the right direction to get a new code? Thanks in advance the stereo serial number is GM0206110777580
