written on the stereo is 2173 however ive tried this and it dosnt work any help please to get a rubbish stereo working,i only use the landy to take my shetlands to shows,but driving with the rattles and bangs is doing my head in.What better to be able to turn up the stereo to drown out the noises..

Just checking again if anyone out there can unlock my radio?

A couple of people have suggested that it's not do-able, but I've seen others with Car400 radios receive codes.

Have tried downloading software (didn't install, riddled with viruses), buying £3 code off eBay (4 days so far, and seller has disappeared), and all manner of other forums. Am I going to have to spend £30?

Hi all,

After a battery disconnection, I'm looking to get my radio working again.

Finally managed to remove it to get the serial code. Awkward, but I'm not sure how my local garage were going to justify charging me £15 JUST to take it out, before even providing the code.

Anyway, if anyone can provide a code for a Philips Car 400 (from a 2003 Vauxhall Astra), I'd be really grateful. Even willing to pay someone a fiver. Just object to paying nearly £30 to get music back in my car! :-)
