  • Thank you so much! But actually that was the number I had but when punched in it doesn't work so I thought i might have got it wrong. Does the number ever change? Or am I just entering it incorrectly? (I'm not very good with cars!)... (Or radios!)

The correct radio SERIAL NUMBER is required for a code

It usually begins with M or V followed by SIX digits ...such as M654321 or V654321

Sometimes pressing buttons 6 & 1 together or 6 & 2 will display this number

Otherwise remove the radio from the dashboard and post the SERIAL NUMBER found on a label on the casing

Radio removal instructions can be found here

    Hi
I recently had a reconditioned engine fitted to my Smart car, in the process the radio was disconnected and it’s now asking for a code. Would anyone know the code for a Becker radio, Model: BE 6040 Serial Number: 21087282

    Thank you
