Hello, I pressed 1+6 which I was told would give the serial number and it came up with 50702000
But this seems a different format from others here. Can I get a code from it? Many thanks.

That is not the serial number. The serial number will begin with a M or V followed by six numbers. You will have to remove the radio to find it on a label on the back of the radio.

Serial numbers beginning with a V are Ford dealer or radio specialist dealer only.

I'm new to this, so sorry before I start



I had a new battery put in my Focus today and now i need the code for the radio, I've pressed 6 and 2 (and 6 and 1) as mentioned above and got the following serial number together with a load of other mumbo jumbo SOCD6XAV002673 i assume the serial number is V002673 (last 6 numbers and the letter V)

Therefore if anybody knows a code it will be appreciated

Although it seems as the guy a brought the car off has used all 13 attempts at putting the code in... so I fuss i'll still have to take it to a Ford dealership... never mind...
