This may help anyone looking for the code for a Ford radio which has a serial number beginning with "V".


As mentioned in many previous posts, these seem only to be available by paying a fee, which after a quick search on Ebay, is often between £10 to £20, with a few more expensive ones too.


I'm not sure if it's acceptable for me to post a link on here, so this is what I did: I tried a simple Ebay search for "Ford V serial code" (using the search option "all words, any order"), which gave me quite a few results for sellers offering these codes at various prices.


Scrolling down to the bottom of these results, under "International Sellers", I found someone offering the code for just £2.94 ($4.99 US Dollars). I paid the fee and enclosed my serial number. About four hours later I received an Ebay message with the correct code, and two minutes later my radio was working once more!

As you have already been told on another Forum, "your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet"
