Pressing 6&1 or 6&2 may bring the serial on the screen. The serial will be clearly in the form M123456 or V654321, if an older (Ford Sound 2000 ?) unit it may begin with A, L or C but will always have 6 numbers after it. The serial is also often etched into the side of the casing.I lost the ticket with the number on but i'm sure it was 3 digits 909 on the top of the unit is a dealer sticker with 260909 would you think this would be it? i have access to try the unit0 -

I got a second hand Ford Mondeo imported from Germany last month and for the life of me, cannot interpret the manual. I also doubt the code is in it as I can't seem to see any 4-digit number.
