8970 is the correct code for serial M023608. Press 6&1 or 6&2 and the serial may appear on the screen clearly showing the serial number in the form M123456. If not the unit will need to be removed from the dash and the serial taken from the sticker.

I need a code for a 2004 Mondeo that has a 6000CD Audio System.

According to the Audio Guide the Key Code is 5695 (serial number M046780) but I have tried that three times and it does not work!

I am now getting a Vehicle ID number (about 19digits) showing when I first switch the system on but before I am asked to enter the Key Code.Is there any way of getting the correct code using the Vehicle ID?

I have no idea how to access the unit to get the correct serial number.

That is the correct code for the stated serial. Press 6&1 or 6&2 and the serial may appear on the screen. If not then the unit will have to be removed from the dash and the serial read from the sticker.

I just bought a '99 focus that has Sat with no battery.
I pulled the stereo and the number on it is m228123.
