    Thank you for your quick reply BILLYBOB but it turns out I was reading the wrong sequence for the serial number. It is in fact V005586. Sorry for the misinformation, I realise the serial number if the end of the first screen of digits now. Would still appreciate your help.

    Serial numbers staring with V require a Ford Etis Online account so they are not given out for free.
