Try this for basic faulting

Turn the volume up to maximum

Hiss or noise from both speakers = possible faulty radio

No noise/ nothing from both speakers = speaker problem usually wiring or not plugged in properly at back of radio

Same prob with S-max, had to disconnect battery then no radio code to be found.

Pressed 1 & 6 on radio and waited for serial number to come up, this is what it says:

SOCD1XBV010392

It is the Sony DAB radio. Can you help please?

I've got a Ford Mondeo Titanium X with the Blaupunkt sat nav.
Is there a way to get the serial number without taking the whole unit out?

Codes for V serials are not available free, ebay for less than £5

Not as far as I am aware but it may come up on one of the screens. You need a BP0xxxxxxxxxxx and a 761xxxxxxxxxxx number.

You confirm its a "V", so I'll try ebay. :T

ive looked around for software but they all say they are infected with virus, i wonder if you can help me unlock my radio

Sorry....your code will only be available from the Main Dealer database or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service

It is unlikely to be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet
