Hi, I just purchased a citroen dispatch van today but the seller could not find the radio code, the wind noise of the roof rack is already driving me nuts! Main Dealer , Radio Decoding Service or buy a replacement radio with a working code are the only solutions ...and unlikely to be free or cheap anywhere on the Internet.

A local Decoding Service is perhaps the best option as you will end up with a guaranteed working radio usually for around £20

Wishful thinking but no - was double checking it was same user.


I've posted on the three main unlock sites so will save time now by pursuing other ways - probably Vauxhall main dealer. Struggling to find correct database online too. A local auto radio repairers struggled to get the code a few years ago according to the previous owner.


Might buy a second hand Blaupunkt 300 as a stop gap - apparently these codes are quite easy to obtain for free; I have downloaded a programme online for these already. I'm assuming there are databases for other models of Vauxhall radios online too?

Paying for codes that have to be looked up on Dealer Databases is always a bit risky because if the code given does not work then it is unlikely you will get your money back.

Taking it into a Decoding Workshop will usually guarantee returning home with a working radio and the cost will be virtually the same
