Car Radio Unlocking

Hi
I've just had my battery changed and the CD player needs a code. The serial number is M080749
It's a used car and the manual has two different codes which I've tried but didn't work. They were 1308 and 2793. Should the code enter straightaway after inputting it?
Thanks

we need the ( correct ) serial number to get the code -- if you need your serial number then some radios you can press the preset buttons -- 1&6 or 2&6 -- & it may display the serial number if not then the radio will have to come out from the dashboard ( a vidio on you-tube can show you how ) on the casing of the radio is a label with the serial number on it for that radio ( see photo on the left eg M123456 or V123456 one letter & six numbers ) if its a M serial just post it, BUT IF ITS A "V serial" then its not free as V codes are done by the FORD data base if you need info on poss best sites please ask by posting here & a message will go on your private messages on the header at the top of the page --- or take a look on e-bay I will send a message !TO ENTER CODE - press station preset button 1 repeatedly for 1st diget of your keycode - repeat the same on - 2 for 2nd - 3 for 3rd - 4 for 4th - & if the display then shows the correct keycode number press preset button 5 to enter - photo shows radio extractor keys & serial number on the radio casing - go to u-tube & see remove ford radio0

Thanks for the code.
As I wrote before the code I’ve got from ford vas hand typed and said 9968 and didn’t work. The working code I’ve got from you was 9698. They must have mistyped.0 -
Hi Molerat,
The battery on my Ford Mondeo died just before Christmas and after I put a new one in of course the radio wasn't working. It's a Ford 6000CD. There was a code written in the manual but it doesn't seem to work an longer. It was 7429.
The serial number is M007261
Is there any chance you might be able to find the code for me?
Much appreciated.0 -
Hi Dave
I replied to your PM but I'm not sure if you got it as my phone was acting up!
Anyway the serial number you mentioned in the PM is the one shown on the key code security stickers in the manual with the code 1308 which I've already tried but it takes me to the thirty minute wait. There is a second code written in the audio guide which is 2793 and I've also tried this but it doesn't take me to the thirty minute wait when I tried it. Instead it just went to the next attempt. Finally I did the 1&6 button trick but no serial number was shown the only number that came up was 50702000.
Looks like I might be taking the radio out then!
Cheers
Rob0
