Dave N thanks for the prompt response much appreciated. I took your advice and pressed buttons 1 & 6 on the radio and got the following:-

cd

507000 12
255

Not sure if these are any of the serial numbers. May have to pull radio out of housing. Anyone know what these numbers represent?

I'd heard of MSE, but had no idea you could get help like this.
My wife's 05 Focus Ghia stereo needs a code for the usual reason of disconnecting the battery!
Please help!

You are looking for an M ****** or a V****** serial.
Will be on a label on radio.
Only M serials are done with ca;culator, V has to come from dealer
