Can the Sony CD2 display it's code when connected & working? Save pulling the unit for the serial no.

If you have the code for a stereo with seriel number M257348 I would be extremely greatful. Somebody is trying to charge me 20 pound just to get the code many thanks

1+6 displays all kind of numbers but none of them are four digit. However it does display the serial number, which is a V prefix. So back to Mr Ford.
