Yes, the serial number will be on a label that is hidden unless you take the the radio out. It doesn't need to be completely taken out or disconnected, just pulled out enough to get the serial. If you don't have the tool, use a small screwdriver or anything that is solid and will fit in the hole in each corner of the unit, when each corner hole is pressed, it will pop out.
