Hi RegWorts,

Would be really grateful if you could help me unlock my car radio.

Vauxhall Vectra
Philips Radio No 09 181 229
Type: CCR600

W85
WA010015

9022214 0675901
00300151220220

Many thanks

There should be a 14 character Serial Number somewhere usually starting with GM or RN or PH or similar. Usually stamped in the metal casing

see

Please help me find a code for a Becker Mexico Pro, BE 4627, S/N35037555.
Have tried some calcs, numbers 5118 & 5130, do not work.
Stereo was changed by prevoius car owner. Code was lost when I changed battery.

many thanks to anyone who can help.

The BE4627 definitely requires a four digit code (whereas most Becker radios require a five digit code ) so I also calculate it to be 5118.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Update : 15.49
However, I`ve just contacted another decoding source and they suggest either 5120 or 8543
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If not try 5112 or if not try 1114 or if not try 5111 or if not try 5113

It should be 5118 but if none of these work then it is usually due to one of the following

1...Wrong code....Check the Serial Numbers again to make sure you are quoting the correct digits for the calculator

2...Incorrect Code Entry...Make sure you are entering the code correctly.(However the entry instructions are straightforward for your radio....just enter the code using the Preset Buttons and the radio should automatically switch on )

3...Radio is semi-locked due to previous wrong codes being entered.

(What does your display say ?..)

Try leaving radio switched ON ..UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to reset.

4...It has been recoded in the past to something completely different.

5...Code memory chip (EEPROM) is faulty.

The answer is usually 1 , 2 or 3....unless you are unlucky.

Sorry.......... these Serial Numbers are not in my PHILIPS database but if you email restoredclassic@aol.com then they may be able to help as they have a much larger database for these Renault / Philips radios

Quote everything......all the letters+numbers

(Mention this forum and there should be no charge
