The radio code written in my audio handbook is incorrect. I have a ford focus 6000 CD unit. I tried various combinations of the 4 numbers given but was locked out after the 10th attempt, even though the handbook stated that you have 28 attempts before lockout. I now have
Security Locked' message displayed. I still need the code, my serial number is M033900, but how do I get back to the 'enter code' text? I have taken the audio fuses out and replaced, now taken the whole unit out. Still get the 'security locked' message. Can anyone help with the code and also how to reset to enable me to enter the code.

Thanks very much for the advise, tried your suggestion and the code and all working now. The code in the book has been written 9572 instead of 9527 which has caused me some grief this week. Can enjoy Sunday evening now and will stop pulling my hair out and being a grumpy old git much to my wife's relief!
