Could I be cheeky and ask you for the code to the old stereo
Quick answer , is No.
The main recent providers of this service. have decided to restrict the service to one code per poster. We have been accused of offering a way of helping radio thieves to cash in on their crime!! We take the view we are providing a ( free) service to those who have lost the codes to there own radios.
So its one code only.
The only help I can give you. the software is out there on the net.0 -

Hi guys, I have a Clarion PU-2294A(C) with the serial number..........Ive read through the forums and can see that codes cannot be generated for this. (I see you guys have to constantly tell people this, why they dont look through ive no idea!)
I have bought the car from a lady who was the only owner so I guess it was factory fitted. She says she has never changed it but never switched it on as she didnt like music/radio in the car! The battery was obviously unconnected at some point tho. She doesnt know the code.
I know you cant get me a code but I wondered if anyone on here had had any luck with this make in getting a code from Peugeot..........is it possible JUST to enter a code, if it was the correct one?.......or do you have to send it off to a dealer to get it sorted? (I understand that this may need to have the chip sorted inside?) Also, does anyone have any reccommendations of where to do this and how much it may cost?
Thanks for anwers to any of the above

Do not attempt to guess any code numbers as you may end up locking your radio.
First :Check to see if your radio has a BARCODE SERIAL NUMBER beginning with C7000000++++.
If not then the code may be held on a database or will have to be physically checked by a Decoder who will open it up and read/recode the memory chip.
If it is from a database then you must remember that this is the code that the radio left the factory with and so the radio may have been recoded. However this is unlikely in your case)
To check to see if it may be on a database , enter your radio serial no. on this site and provide all the relevant details.
http://www.radio-code.co.uk/clarion-radio-codes.html
(IMPORTANT Please note .....this is NOT a recommendation for this company (as I`ve never used them ) but a free guidance source that will give you an idea of cost (they usually quote £20 ) and availability so that you can compare prices elsewhere)
You will be advised , on-screen , whether the code is available, after payment by return (ie..they have a database ) or whether it will have to be physically read/recoded ( ie ..posted off etc)
This information will tell you whether it is readily available via a database ...
Now you can now search out the cheapest option. via Google , Ebay etc. or your Yellow Pages ..making sure that the cheapest quote will produce your code/a working radio or guarantee your money back.(Beware: Many don`t )
A phone call to various Peugeot Main Dealers may be the cheapest option if it is on a database (you may even be able to "blag" it for free ) but quite often your local Car Radio/Audio shop ( or even a Mobile Phone Shop that unlocks mobiles ) can provide it for around £10 or less0
