  • ours is a 55 Reg and by holding the 6 button and tapping the 2 button, the serial number flashed up on radio. No need to pull it out of dash. Going out to try the code provided by Rodnai

hi thank you for the reply, by main dealer do you mean philips ? (i think thats the make of the cd player) also how come that is the only way ?
thanks for your help and time :)
No...the Main Vauxhall (or Opel) Dealer

The better option is a local Car Radio Decoding service .

Try your Yellow pages or ask at a local Car Audio store

Hi there, I have bought a Smart car for my wife and the owner has lost the radio code and has promised to get one from Smart before we collect it. If they don't get it sorted for us are you able to decode Smart car radios? If not do you know of anyone who can please?
Only a few pre year 2000 codes are available

Otherwise Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

Cheers for the quick answer RegWorts. Can you recommend any such service and what is a reasonable price to pay please?
