Hi, I just bought a 2006/7 Ford Focus but need the radio code as I took the battery off and don't have it in the handbook. It's a Sony stereo and the serial number is V029712.

It seems the free to download programs don't do 'V' codes yet.

My Ford Focus o6 reg has just been returned from the garage after an expensive electric fault with the steering……. unfortunately now the radio is not working and I do not know the code I have managed to find out the Modle is 6000CD Serial number M023625 I would be very grateful if someone could help me please

Pressing the buttons only works on some models. The only way to get the No. is by removing the radio you will find no on label on the units casing.

Ford V Serial codes are not usually available for free from anywhere on the Internet (unless you can blag it for free from Ford) as they are not calculated using software but require access to the Ford factory database( via a Ford Dealer)...which is not commercially available as software.
