Car Radio Unlocking
Comments
-
Hi, can someone provide an unlock code for a Volvo HU 605 Stereo please? Regards darryl.
Serial number : V03480 33315003
I think that this is a MITSUBISHI radio requiring a four digit code
Try 5177 .....and if this does not work then I don`t think you will be able to obtain it for free from anywhere on the Internet.
You will then have to try your Volvo Main Dealer or pay a Professional Decode Specialist.
You could also try your local car radio shop as they quite often have access to the Main Dealer database0 -

Thanks
I would not like to recommend anyone for this code as I believe that it is highly unlikely that you will be able to obtain it just by quoting the Serial Number as it might be a little more secure than that ( It may have to have a code that is linked to your particular car so other info may be required )
More than likely though , it will have to be taken to a Professional Decoder who will open it up and read+recode it electronically.
The well known Professional Decoder on Ebay looks as though he charges around £30 (including p+p ) for his services for this Clarion Model....but please do not take that as a recommendation as I have never had any dealings with them !
Have you tried your local Main Dealer or asked at a local Car Radio/Audio shop as they may be able to help for a lot cheaper price (as there won`t be any postage to pay)
A more economical option might be to replace it with another radio ....that already has a code that works.
Can you let me know how you get on( Send me a PM message or mention it on the open forum ) as there are a lot of these Clarion radios about with no code and I`d be interested to hear of any successes in obtaining any working code0 -

Thanks for the code, but unfortunatley looks like I may have to put my hand in my pocket unless anyone else has a code.
Thanks for the info anyway.
