Press 6&1 or 6&2 together, this may bring the serial up on the screen. If not it will have to be removed from the dash, the serial is on the sticker and etched into the case.

I held 6+1 in my Ford Transit Connect and got the numbers 50600500 and the number 255 below it. Could a radio code be worked out from this or do I need to take my radio out? Many thanks!

Please can someone help?

We've lost our radio guide (assuming we got one from the dealer - I can find the other 2 books ok). We got a new car battery at the weekend. The serial number for our 2006 Mondeo is M028968.

I would be very grateful.

Codes for Ford V serials are not available free anywhere. It will be available from your local Ford dealership or radio decoding service. Try a search of the internet and sites such as ebay for the best deal or here http://ukbookshelf.co.uk/FordV or http://www.restoredclassic.cjb.net/
