Would be easier for us supplying the codes if the threads post in the wrong place were locked.
Lol it would be easier all round if they posted in the right thread in the first place, perhaps point them to the correct thread and tell them to ask again there, then answer there and we can then delete the wrong placed post to keep the board clear and easier for those searching etc etc??

Thats what we tend to do ,but still they just tag their requests on to the last one ,We are worried that if its not the 'sticky' it will fall from the first page and those that are requesting codes will be disappointed.
It takes us longer to keep redirecting than just to supply code. BUT this runs the risk of failing to see a request.

I'm not up on radio codes tbh, does each person only use them once, or can others use them with a similar serial number?

I know, it's difficult to find easy working solutions for all across the site, especially when it comes to newbies posting all over the place. However, what has worked fairly well in the report holiday bargains, when newbies request help in finding bargains (insert rolling eye smiley) is the 'regulars' not replying to their request but posting the link to the correct post and me then moving them off that board and into the planning your holiday section iyswim? You've then acknowledged their request and shown them where they'll get it.

Codes are linked with the s/n . so IF you had the same S/N the code would work . But with a six digit number !!!

The regulars . most likely have the software sitting on the desktop , takes seconds to generate a code. And as we have seen posted some dealers are charging £15 /20 plus vat to supply .

Your example for holiday bargains ? not really the same. In the 'bargain' thread the regular is likely to suggest/give advice etc
Here , we might deal with four or five requests at once , just giving the answer.

If we request a 'wrong' thread be locked . can you do it?
