I've just got my girlfriend a 2002 Seat Arosa but the radio is displaying safe. Can anyone help with the code please?

Thanks molerat. I turned the radio on but after 1 hour it was still saying lock11. It then turned itself off, showing touching concern as to the state of my battery since as far as the radio knew I was a thief. I turned it back on, this time with the key turned in the ignition but after 2 more hours, still no change. Do you have any other ideas or do I have to write it off.
The annoying thing is that I kept my old radio from the Renault that I part-exchanged because I knew that code but of course the connections are different.

Turn off. Hold button 6 whilst turning on.
