incidentally i did not have to pull out the radio to get this (my radio is not locked). By holding down button 6 and then pressing button 1 all the radio details are displayed in sequence with the serial number as part of the first screen. I am not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but most of the internet info i have seen suggests pulling out the radio, so i include the tip here in case it can help anyone.

Hi,
The code you gave me didn`t work and having removed the radio I have now discovered I had the wrong serial number!
It`s M043174. Would be very grateful for the code, thanks.

hi there just found this thread and really need some help to unlock radio in my 2001 vauxall astra serial number is gm060021388622, make is phillips cr600. thanks if u can and thanx if u cant. x

Sorry....will only be available from the Main Dealer or the unit will have to be taken into a Radio Decoding Service to obtain this code

It will not be available for free or cheap from anywhere on the Internet
