I have managed to remove the radio now. It does have a different serial number :-

It is an FD3000W

S/N: M090346

I recently bought a Ford Focus but have found that it did not come with the Key Code for the Ford 6000 radio. I need to do some work on the car with the battery disconnected, so would be very grateful if someone could provide me with the code for my radio.

My serial number is M028249

Incidentally I did not have to pull out the radio to get this (my radio is not locked). By holding down button 6 and then pressing button 1 all the radio details are displayed in sequence with the serial number as part of the first screen. I am not sure if this has been posted elsewhere but most of the internet info I have seen suggests pulling out the radio, so I include the tip here in case it can help anyone.

Thanks for the feedback. It looks exactly the same as the one in my micra now. The one I've got doesn't appear to have a code though as I changed the engine and when we hooked it back up the radio just worked.

If its going cheap I might take a chance.
